Privacy Policy
In this policy, “Camber” or “we” refers to Camber staff, interns, volunteers, and consultants, all of whom are bound by law or contract to keep confidential information they receive as part of their assistance to Camber.
Information We Gather
We may gather your information in a variety of circumstances. For instance:
Website Cookies
When you access pages on the Camber website we send one or more cookies — a short string of characters — to your computer that uniquely identifies your browser. This identity is used to authenticate and authorize your access to services provided on the website. We will not share this identity information with third parties unless required by law.
We use the Google Analytics service, which will also place cookies in your browser. This service allows us to analyze the performance of the website and make improvements where needed. We will not share any individually identifiable information collected with third parties unless required by law. We may share or publish aggregate information (e.g. number of unique visitors in a given month) to funders, policy-makers, and the public.
You may disallow cookies in your browser and still read our site anonymously.
Log Files
Our web server generates a log entry for each item requested. Logs are reviewed daily to detect problems with the site (e.g. broken links) and vulnerability scans. Reports are generated weekly to quantify requests to resources that aren’t trackable by Google Analytics (e.g., PDF documents, audio files, and video files.) We will not share any individually identifiable information collected with third parties unless required by law. We may share or publish aggregate information (e.g. number of unique visitors in a given month) to funders, policy-makers, and the public.
Disclosure of Your Information
While Camber will work to provide the highest level of protection for your information, and unless otherwise specified above, we may disclose personally identifiable information about you to third parties in limited circumstances, including: (1) with your consent; or (2) when we have a good faith belief it is required by law, such as pursuant to a subpoena or other judicial or administrative order.
If we are required by law to disclose the information that you have submitted, we will attempt to provide you with notice (unless we are prohibited) that a request for your information has been made in order to give you an opportunity to object to the disclosure. We will attempt to provide this notice by email if you have given us an email address, or by postal mail, if you have entered a postal address. If you do not challenge the disclosure request, we may be legally required to turn over your information.
Changes to Our Policies
Camber’s Privacy Policy may change from time to time. If so, we will post updates here, as well as in our email newsletter.
